We decided to spend an extra day here because the weather and our hotel is great. Today we spent some time just driving around Palm Springs, Palm Dessert and Cathedral City. Palm Dessert seems to be the more posh of the three. The shopping strip is very upscale with the most elite shops. All of the housing developments and golf courses are gated. We spent a relaxing afternoon at the pool.

We had a beautiful day with gorgeous weather. We started by taking the ariel tram up the mountaintop an elevation of 8500 feet. The mountain had lots of snow and it was very strange to so quickly go from 80 degrees to 50 degrees. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed lunch before heading back down to the valley.
