Not a whole lot new to write about... we're crossing the South Atlantic and everyone is settling back in to life on the ship. The weather has been good and the seas are fair.
I've settled in to my job, at least it seems so, but new things come up each day. I'll be leading a workshop later this week on Careers in Student Affairs and Higher Education, or more like How do you get to be an RD on Semester at Sea? And tomorrow is Neptune Day, which I'm sure will be alot to write home about!
Everyone is busy with work and classes as well as planning out travel for our next ports. I am going on a 3-day tented Safari in Kwazulu Natal for our first days in South Africa and plans after that are up in the air. I'd like to spend a day at Skydive Cape Town, hike Table Mountain, visit Robben Island, and check out the winelands. I've always wanted to go wine tasting. The Hudson Valley has some great wineries as well and that is on my list of things do at home this summer. We'll see if all of that happens. Other than that, I've been researching our future ports and seeing what to do if I'm not on an SAS sponsored trip. Mauritius, Malaysia, Japan, Hawaii, and Costa Rica are all still completely open.
