Arrival at Green Lotus Hotel in Yangshuo.

Once again, first impressions of the hotel are very good. It's apparently one of the best hotels in Yangshuo and the lobby area would seem to confirm that.
Bad news though, on check out day some Chinese Government officials are coming to stay and we have to be out of the hotel by 8 am! That's gonna be a nightmare, imagine how busy breakfast and checking out will be. As our flight to Hanzhou is not until the afternoon, a new guide called Mai will pick us up at 8am and take us to 'Xanadu' Park or 'Shangri La' as it's also called for a free morning tour. Ah well, a bit of a consolation I suppose.
We make our way up to our room - 1233, once again on the executive floor. We open the door, holding our breath, anxious to see what lies waiting for us on the other side........will it be as special as room 708 at the Guilin Bravo? In a word.......no. Although not shabby at all. The bed is normal size and a bit hard and there's no suite. Having said that, the room is a good size overall and very nice. It's also the first room we've had with it's own desktop pc! (although having tried the broadband is proper slow so I've only used it once).
To be honest, we don't expect to get anything quite as nice as the room at the Guilin Bravo for the rest of the trip.
This hotel itself however is by far the most impressive to date.
