Well, May is over already and we're already into the first week of June. I missed my Aunty Liane's 50th birthday back home and have just missed mum and dad's anniversary and will be missing Nai's birthday, Dad's birthday and Father's Day next week. It's going to be a busy couple of months with missing birthdays as there are quite a few of you!
I got through the rest of May with only a minor bout of tonsilitis a week after coming out of hospital and took another course of antibiotics. I have spent the rest of the month that I've been healthy desperately trying to find work. I think I've been quite proactive and I've handed out CVs, applied formally for jobs, enquired about jobs over the phone, been in touch with agencies, even offered my voluntary services to a school to see if I could help out as I'm just desperate to do something.
For those of you that don't know already and that are remotely interested. I put my travel plans on hold a while back as I was ill and I have met someone and kind of ended up staying with him! Aaron and I met in Sydney back in January while he was visiting some family there. We stayed in touch and arranged to meet up again when I got to Adelaide which is where he lives. We saw each other a few times when I arrived in Adelaide, between illnesses and went to lots of places on day trips and it's just gone from there. I'm staying at his place with his family, mum Leanne, Dad Dennis, and his brother Luke. Luke and I have spent a lot of time together as he's been off work with a broken hand for the past 8 weeks. Luke is due to go back to work next week and I'm not looking forward to it at all. I'm already feeling pretty lonely and isolated. I have completely run out of money and really want to get out and work. It really doesn't seem like anyone will give me tht chance now though with so little time left on my visa. I have decided to come home to England after my visa expires in August and Aaron has decided to come with me for a year. The last couple of weeks have been taken up with getting Aaron a passport and getting his visa application together. He had to fly to Melbourne yesterday for a 1 min interview and to get his fingerprints taken! He was back by 1pm! That's crazy! Now he just has to send off his application and supporting documents which should be back by the end of the month so we can sort out flights. I have been resigned to the fact that I cannot continue my adventures to South East Asia, but am so fed up that I haven't achieved even half of the things I set out to do and see. I have found a 30 day tour called the IndoChina Loop, but no matter how I look at it I can't afford to go. I'd got Aaron all excited about it too! So, at this point I'm not sure when I'll be back in England but I'll put it on here when I know.
I hope things look up in June and maybe, just maybe I can get some work to pay for my flight home!!
