After checking out we got a minibus and headed to Patong in Phuket for a couple of nights. It took 4 hours to get there which isn't bad by Asian standards. If on English roads, it would have taken just over 2 hours. Everything takes a lot longer here.

We arrived at the hotel at 4pm. We decided to have a break from hostels for a couple of nights as we wanted our own space and own bathroom so it was nice. We went for a walk around Patong after checking in, it's like Magaluf but in Thailand, full of chavvy Brits, Russians and ladyboys who were fooling no one. Delightful!
