For the next couple of nights we were heading out of the tackiness and to a town further down the coast of Phuket called Kata which was a lot more chill.
We checked into our hotel called Southern Fried Rice at 1pm. We had a pot noodle for lunch, a Thai brand called mamas. They are so much nicer than English pot noodles! Our fave is the green curry one. Delish!
We spent the afternoon on the beach, a nice quiet beach with no sellers. We didn't have sunbirds though so had to put our towels on the sand which for someone who doesn't like sand isn't ideal. So I led as still as I could all afternoon avoiding getting sand anywhere on the towel. I still managed to get cover in it. I swear it hates me!
Whilst we were led on the beach, a dead box jellyfish washed up onto the shore so no more dips in the sea for us. It was huge, like the size of a baby. I can't think of anything else to compare it to haha.
That night we headed to a local restaurant for tea that served a variety of cuisines, one of these being Mexican. I nearly chose a Sunday roast but the enchilada won. We then sat in the hostel bar drinking my vodka yet again. It's a hard life.
