we had to wait around on phi phi till the afternoon for our 2 hour ferry to railay. had an interesting transfer from the ferry to a longtail boat with all our bags... was rocking all over the place.. and then had to wade through the water, trying not to get anything wet! we walked across to the other side of railay, to the eastern side. not a nice beach here but cheaper accomodation.. and only a short walk to the other 2 beaches. sarah walked off to find us some...

we caught the ferry over to phi phi island which we were excited about. heard great things about the place and beaches. it was bigger than i thought, and when we got off the ferry it was like walking through a maze, with all the little shops etc. eventually we found a great place called tropical gardens bungalow. managed to get 100b knocked off the price. our bungalow has lots of character... its on stilts, mattresses on the floor with mozzie nets over them, hamm...

we decided to spend a couple of nights in ao nang, before heading onto phi phi island. is a nice little town with touristy shops and a nice beach. found a lovely little guesthouse called popeye, the lady who owned it was so friendly. we spent some time on the beach and found a walk to an even nicer beach. the sea water is sooo warm, not very refreshing! just a nice little stop over really...

our next stop was the party island of koh pha ngan, famed for its full moon parties (we avoided it though!) we were a little lost at first, not realising the ferry had dropped us further up the island than we had asked for! had to get a mini bus to where we wanted to go. we are staying in the haad rin area at coral bunglalows (known for its pool party) the pool is nice though the beach its situated on is awful!! we are not far from another beach (the one the full...

in the morning we had to say goodbye to marianka and lorraine which was really sad.. going our own ways now. a few tears were shed, going to miss them both lots. we had a long and tiring journey down to the island of koh samui. had to catch a squashy minibus for over 2 hours back to bangkok, then wait 2 hours at some random guesthouse (which we had to walk to with our bags), then walk more with all our bags for ages to pick everyone up like a human bus in the ba...
