in the morning we had to say goodbye to marianka and lorraine which was really sad.. going our own ways now. a few tears were shed, going to miss them both lots.

we had a long and tiring journey down to the island of koh samui. had to catch a squashy minibus for over 2 hours back to bangkok, then wait 2 hours at some random guesthouse (which we had to walk to with our bags), then walk more with all our bags for ages to pick everyone up like a human bus in the baking heat, before waiting on the side of the street for a further hour..sigh.. then travelled overnight on a coach (which blared out the t.v all night so no sleep!) arrived at surat thani at 7am the next day. more waiting around.. they dropped us off at a cafe, where we had to catch another coach to the ferry terminal, catch the ferry and then a taxi to our accomodation!!! phew! was a nightmare.

not much cheap accomodation here. managed to find somewhere which cost about 16 pounds a night for the room, including all you can eat breakfast, air con and swimming pool overlooking the beach. not too bad. is really nice resort.. and finally we get to hit the beach! (which is nice but not as nice as i had imagined)

all we did here was spend time on the beach and go swimming in the pool, which we often had to ourselves. nice and relaxing. not overally impressed with koh samui though so we moved on after a few days.
