Our next stop was Airlie Beach, a very small town with lots of hostels, bars and nightclubs. The main reason to visit is to organise a tour of the Whitsunday Islands. We went on a three day, two night tour on a boat called Habibi. We spent most of the time sailing around the islands, stopping off to do some snorkelling, visiting Whitehaven beach and swimming in the 5* resort pools. We had hoped to enjoy the Whitsunday's more, but found it to be a bit over-rated. It might have been better in the winter months where there are whales and dolphins to spot in the water.
