Noosa is a small town on the coast, where lots of rich people live. The town has a wide variety of restaurants and we went out for a Mexican. The next day we went canoeing. We met our group and sorted out our shopping the day before for our trip. We were in a group of nine people, mostly from the UK. There was another car of mostly Canadians going on the other tour. Our next stop was Airlie Beach, a very small town with lots of hostels, bars and nightclubs. The main reason to visit is to organise a tour of the Whitsunday Islands. We went on a three day, two night tour on a boat called Habibi. We spent most of the time sailing around the islands, stopping off to do some snorkelling, visiting Whitehaven beach and swimming in the 5* resort pools. We had hoped to enjoy the Whitsunday's more, but found it to be a bit over-rated. ...

The next day we returned to the coast and went to see Josephine falls, a popular spot for swimming. It was busy with tour groups swimming in the lower pool but a little higher up was quieter and we managed to get some great photos. We then followed the coast down to Bingil Bay, where we would stay the night. This is a perfect little bay with a palm lined beach, blue sea and surrounded by rainforest. Wednesday we went to Paronella Park. The park is now in ruins but was once owned by a Spanish man whose childhood dream was to build a castle. In the 1930's he built his castle as well as refreshment rooms, changing rooms, a theatre and ballroom and tennis courts. He also planted over 7000 trees and plants.
