So my last few days in Cairns have been really busy. I booked myself on one last tour which meant I have pretty much done everything that is available in Cairns and the surronding area. Let me pre-warn you that this entry will seem completely random but the tour was exactly that. So the tour was really crazy - you get on this bus called Gus and you get taken to all these beautiful places up in the Atherton Tablelands. Our driver Bart has this cuddly toy of Elmo and everytime we pass someone on the street he beeps the horn and then shoves elmo out the window. Our first stop is Josephine Falls which is the waterhole with a convenietly placed waterfall which means that you can slide down this huge rock. We all had such a laugh throwing ourselves down it. Our next stop was the Millaa Millaa falls. I am not sure if any of you remember the timotey hair advert with the girl washing her hair in the waterfall, well this is where it was filmed. So we all spent a good half hour trying to impersonate the advert. All in all it was such a funny trip. I spent my last few days just trying to sort all my stuff out as after spending so many weeks in the same place I seemed to have so much stuff everywhere. It was sad to leave Cairns and say bye to the good friends I made, but I was so excited to be moving on to a new part of Australia and only 3000 kms to get there.
