We got up and walked to the bus station around 9.30am as we are going to Cairns Tropical Zoo today. I went to buy the tickets while Gina went to Westpac to open another bank account for Australia. The tickets for the bus going to the Zoo only cost $9.60 each. Once I had got these I waited for Gina in Westpac. It took ages for them to set the bank account up as there systems went down for a while. When finished at the bank we caught the bus to Cairns Tropical Zoo. It was a 30 minute bus ride away. The entry cost is normally $32.00 but we have the Aussie Specialist cards so we got it half price. The cards are similar to what we had for New Zealand and gives us some discounts off certain things. Every little helps. We walked around the Zoo and saw loads of animals like crocodiles, kangaroos, snakes, birds, koalas etc. We had our photo taken cuddling a koala. It only cost us $10.00 for this and it was amazing holding the koala. Her name was Georgie and she was so cute. After the Zoo we got the bus back to the city and chilled out at the lagoon. We saw Daniel, Axel, James, Dave and Pops here as well. We had said goodbye to them in New Zealand and now they are here in Cairns. We thought that we would probably not see them again. They are travelling down the East Coast as well so we are bound to bump into them again at some point. After the lagoon we went to get some dinner and then chilled out in the apartment for the rest of the evening.
