So Koh Phangan: laid-back traveller party island! Which is pretty much all i did. In the days i lazed around on the beaches and swam in the turqouise seas and at night i partied till it got light.
To be honest i don't really know what i was running on, did 4 nights of dancing on the beach with about 8 hours sleep total between them. Absolutley loved it. Met lots of cool people and shared many a vodka-red bull bucket with them.
As the girls were about to leave they got me some pampering bday pressies. Sam got me a pedicure and foot scrub and Kath got me a facial massgae/treatment, all at a lovely spa on the beach. I felt very spolit, never really had anything done like that before.
On the 18th Tom arrived, much to my delight! He looked very skinny and very beardy.. but gorgeous all the same. ha! We went out that night to celebrate his arrival, Tom drunk lots of the local Samsung, literally like drinking petrol, i would not go near the stuff. He very much enjoyed a bit of a release after not drinking for 2 months in India and Nepal.
So after 2 rest nights we decided to do something active and went out on a boat for day. Nuala and i dived whilst the others snorkelled. We went to a place called 'Sail Rock' famous for having amazing diving. The vis was mich better than Phi Phi and there were fish everywhere, massive scholles of them everywhere u looked. We also went through a verticle swim-through, which i loved. Sadly all the snorkellers got sea sick, but it think they enjoyed the snorkelling they did all the same.
That evening was the Full Moon Party. Sam and i dressed up in white and accessorized with many a fluorescent item. First stop was to get painted up, we both got flowers running all the way up our legs. Some people went full hog with massive dragons over their whole backs. The night was pretty crazy, fire dancers everywhere, big fire skipping ropes for anyone to tackle, huge neon signs, fireworks going off at random, music that would have carried over to the main land pumping out of every bar and literally thousands of people. We played until the sun came up then scutteld on home to bed.
Sadly the girls have gone now but it's nice to be back on track with Tom again..
