The train was awesome, left at about 10am and arrived at about 7am. The fold out bed was just about long enough for me, both of us slept pretty well apart from a couple blokes who decided to eat curry and turn the lights on at midnight. We left our bags at the station and took one of the many rickshaws into town. We checked in to a grubby hotel and paid 250 rupees ( 2.75 ish) so we had a base for the long day ahead and could have a shower and escape from the heat. We walked to a trendy veggy cafe full of students doing shisha pipes and ate a strange western style mix of food. Then on to the museum, again dodging traffic which I think is even more dangerous than mumbai!

We're now at the train station about to get another sleeper train to Udapuir, which apparently I keep pronouncing wrong, inducing laughs all round. We're stuffed from one of the best curry's we've ever had in a restaurant which cost us about 3 pound including drinks! Hope everyone is well and we'll keep you updated soon.
