So arrived in to Agra in the evening of the 9th, jumped straight in a rickshaw found a guesthouse and went straigh to bed in preperation for our early start to see the Taj the next day.

Beep Beep went the alarm at 5.30, with moans and groans we crawled out of bed, threw on some clothes and wondered down to the East Gate. After being thoroughly checked (no books allowed... weird) we walked through the entrance to the glorious Taj Mahal. We sat and watched as the sun came up, making the right side glow. With only the sky as a back drop it makes for quite a spectacle. We wondered around it at different levels. Although it is the same on all four sides, with various shades of light, each looks utterly different. We (well i) pranced around the bottom, feeling entirely insignificant, but loving it. Expectations were high but it exceeded them.

We sat a top our guest house for breakfast with a view of the Taj, who could ask for more! We wondered around the town during the day and then took a rickshaw back to the station to catch a train to Jhansi.
