This week was the week I got to hang out with the pigmy elephants! In lok Kawi they have 14 pigmy's.. 2 are young (ganesh and sumandak)... And one baby (houmi!!)! The big bull (roco) dies lAst week from a stroke (that's whAt the rumor is anyway)! JB and Sylvia were distraught as they had raised him since he was very young and they had had him for over 20 years! What a relationship!
Anyway on monday i arrived at the elephant unit ready for anything with a big excited smile upon my face! Where else in the world do u get to handle these beautiful creatures! So I started cleaning up the night stalls (no surprises there).. Feeding houmi.. Then I spend 1 hr sitting up in the lookout box observing Ganesh And sumandak filling in a table with their movements every 2 minutes. Wow.. They literally eat every minute! Ha! After the animal show (12pm) it was time to feed houmi again.. So cute! I have some pics! The elephant boys love to drink...ALL DAY! ...EVERYDAY!!! Makote' is the local rice wine here... Quite strong.. About 25% alcohol.. I can't drink it straight like the boys do... I mix in a little bit of coke!! Much nicer ha!
That night jb rang and asked me out for a drink at top ten with the crew! Sylvia, Marcelino, Henry, victor! Fun night... But a few too many budweisers :S
We ate hinava which is a local delicacy!! It's raw white boneless fish with lime, Chilli, thinly sliced Cabage, prawn paste, onion... Very tasty!
the rest of the week i stuck to my regular morning chores with the elephants... Then show time (as usual), back to feed houmi... Then show time in the afternoon... Then coffee with Malik or Ravi or random tourists i always to make friends with in the arv! Tried to avoid the elephant boys as much as possible as they got stuck into the rice wine before 11... And things always got pretty messy! Sometimes I think that humans are more like animals than actual animals! !!!
Things that stood out this week:
- got to ride an elephant and stear visitors around the park!!
- held Ruth the green wing macaw
- played with Marsha the 13 yr old orangutan... Thanks Ravi!
- watched the animals shows training sessions
- got sprayed my houmi...
-played with mogley
-mogley painting me a picture!!
Oh and during the week I was walking past the cafeteria and this lady in blue was waving at me!!! And as i got closer I realized it was Ann!!!! Ann is the Yoga instructor and wife off kevy baby.. The couple I Met on mabul! Her and her friend Jackie were on their way to Bali and had a few nights in Kk.. And decided to surprise me at the zoo!!! Soo cool! Anyway we went and grabbed lunch then headed around the zoo and got pics with mogly And amber (orangutan and snake )... In the end I decided to head back to Kk with them for dinner! We ate a delicious feast from the market consisting of calimari, fish, veges, rice and an avocado shake!! Finished with a peanut butter pancakes! Next stop BB cafe for a few

Friday night JB picked me up to take me Q bar in Kk to meet up with Henry, Ronn and Albert! What a night haha. Qbar is a gay bar... Kinda like the beat!! They have drag ladies performing! So much fun... I got dragged up on stage to shake my booty! Woohoo! Lady gaga, beyonce, christina aguleria, Mia, pink!! All were there!! Hahahaha. I have videos ad pics so keep a look out! I introduced the guys to QF's... They have never tried... They went down a treat considering all I've drunk is beer the last 4 month! Ha
What a month! My time here at lok Kawi is finished! :(
Ive learnt so much... And Now I'm definitely all confused as to what I wanna do when I get home! I'll have to wait and see! Such an amazing experience! Everyone here has been so cool! I'm gonna miss my wildlife family!! I told ravi (the guy in charge of the animal show) that i know the entire script from the animals show (which I do!!) and if Kenneth ever needs a holiday I can take over! Haha... He

Mig light, karaoke, salute, modeling, tuna steaks, aramighty, hot Milo at 5am.. Followed by more Heineken! Waltz with dearboss, brent passing out, bed time 6:30am :) so much fun!! I wanna do it all over again... Not only last night.. But the whole month!

My bag and waiting for Ronn to pick me up and take me back to lavender lodge... I think all i can achieve Today is this blog... A coffee in Starbucks... And an afternoon nap :)
