Wellington's really nice!
We basically only got a taste for it as we only stayed there for one day (we're spending longer on the way back) but we managed to do some shopping (window shopping for me...) and did a lot of lost sheep wondering.
Bus drivers in wellington are not nice people! They lie. I know that the number 2 was supposed to go where we needed it to, but the driver thought it would be funny to tell us to get one the 11. so we walked to the 11 bus stop with our massive packs on. only to find that the 11 doesnt go there (as predicted). We ended up having to run for some other bus (which isnt fun in flip flops).
Luckily the hostel was really nice and offered a $3 shuttle to the ferry terminal for the next morning meaning we didnt have to faff about with buses the next morning (dont worry anna still managed to faff somewhere).
The ferry is also really good and there are some stunning views on the journey from north island to south island. its definitely colder more south... we eve managed to see some dolphins from the ferry and i think i saw a seal :)
Now we are in Nelson... but more on that in a bit :)

Priyanka Taylor Sounds fun, apart from lugging your luggage from one bus stop to other! Peter and Holly are stuck in Austria and Alan and family are stuck in S. Africa, but have found themselves a caravan park on beach to stay. Very unsettling not knowing when they can fly.
Vasundra This crazy Icelandic stuff had better not affect your return. You have exams as soon a you get back. Hope you're managing to study in between these adventures. I've heard runours that a 2nd volcano may erupt near the one that is currently causing all this havoc. But I'm sure it will all return to normal by the time you are due back. Love to Anna and Mel. Make the most if it. xxx
