I wish we had had longer in queenstown!

Its a really cool little city with a brilliant night life! The journey down was again very long, however nicely broken up with stops.

Its been great travelling down west coast because the drivers have been so lovely and given us photo stops and weve had a chance to do little 20 min walks and stuff even. We luckily got to see the pancake rocks and a waterfall and an amazing beach where everyone sticks driftwood on the side of the road and writes messages on rocks and stuff, a bit like a really cool guestbook for new zealand. The things we've seen have been a lot of the things Id heard of but thought we wouldnt get to see because we didnt have enough time.

But yes Queenstown is amazing! Its set on an absolutely massive lake and has loads to do. Our first night, Anna and I went out... unfortunately mel is just shattered constantly because shes not feeling better yet really. It was a brilliant night, we ended up on a bar crawl and met some really nice travellers. They had a competition near the beginning where they asked who wanted a tshirt... Anna and I wanted a tshirt. They picked us out (because we shouted very loudly) and we had to rock paper scissors for it... anna won.... but good for her! i guess... lol just kidding. Honestly I dont mind because they later did another one and everyone had to rock paper scissors against everyone until there were 2 left standing... this "champion" guy - and me!

I won a free ticket for jetboating in Queenstown! I never win anything - pretty amazing haul for anna and I winning both prizes! lol. Now i just have to sell it. Its worth £50, its just a shame i dont have the time to use it.

We spent our day in Queenstown.. not in queenstown. Ill put it in another blog but we went to Milford Sound. Our last evening in Queenstown we went to World bar and had a nice dinner (Weve been eating in a lot recently) and i tried the famous teapot cocktails. Its a really nice city too and anna and mel got some shopping in, we were quite sad to leave and almost skipped out Mt Cook (next stop) to stay another day... i would have at leats got to do my jetboating too :(
