Kind of a quiet day for us in Seattle!
I spent about 5 hours with my Sprouts program in Columbus. It's been a challenge to co-teach this class from 2000+ miles away. Today was great! I got to spend over an hour with my Geometry students helping them to problem solve some of their tasks. Then, I was on the big screen talking to the entire class about tasks, measurements and data they should be collecting and assessments. I think that they are finally realizing that I am one of their teachers! :)
Grace and I finally got our day started around 3. I walked, she bussed, to Title Nine in Green Lake. Title Nine is my favorite catalog to order fun dresses and athletic style gear! I"d never been to a store as they are all west coast. Wow! Poor Grace! I think that I tried on almost everything that was in the store - but those of you who know Grace know that she is the ultimate personal shopper - she just kept brining me more! We happened on a great sale too! It was so fun and I am bringing home a fun dress and two fun skirts! Yay!
The real reason Grace came along was our long talked about stop at Rain City Burgers. Simply amazing. We had eaten there last summer when we moved Claire in and Grace was still bemoaining the fact that she didn't get the milkshake - now was her moment! Two Ranier burgers, two orders of fries, a Fat Tire beer and a ultra thick chocolate milkshake later, we were happy, stuffed, and waddling back home! This time with the same order to go for Claire who was still working! :(
Grace and I completed our relaxed day by relaxing more at the apartment. We played Set, read and watched some Netflix. Claire met some friends up the street but was quickly home and in the position that you see in my last picture.
Nothing like a Claire-Bear snuggle to end my day...
