A good part of today was spent with work. Claire worked from home today and I Zoomed in to Metro. She was on until 5; me until 3! Grace and I headed out while she finished up.

We were back to Fremont for the afternoon and evening. We started with Happy Hour at The Thackery - listed in the top 20 things to do in Seattle. It was a cool little spot where we were lucky enough to get a patio spot. A nice couple sat down next to us and we had a fun conversation. She was a teacher who is still teaching too although she was old than me! Their last day was just Tuesday, June 27! Ohio teachers, can you imagine??

We met Claire and some of her Seattle buddies at Fremont Brewing Company and had fun trying the seasonal beers and laughing! Bonus: A girl with a black lab sat down next to me, so I also got my puppy fix. Clooney was so sweet and just loved being petted. :)

After Fremont, we walked to Chris's apartment for dinner. His friend grilled hamburgers and we all brought something to share. It was so fun to hear about each of thier backgrounds, where they were from and what brought them to Seattle. One couple had just moved here in May from Boston for him to take his dream job as a landscape architect with a firm that specializes in zoo design. He was that they are working on a project for the Columbus Zoo right now! It was a fun evening!
