We had a major rain storm with wind and lightening the night before our scheduled longest leg on our journey. We were supposed to go about four hours from Knapp’s Narrows to Wharton Creek Marina. Because of some minor boat issues we got off the dock a lot later then we wanted to. But that delay paid off with an uneventful boat ride.
The seas were calm the entire trip and got progressively calmer as we ventured north.
Our schedule was putting us in to Wharton Creek around 4:00pm. We had reports that Wharton Creek never opened their restaurant this year and we needed to leave VERY early in the morning. The seas were lake like calm with no wind so we decided to head back to our home marina Bohemia Bay Yacht Harbor. We arrived home around 5:30pm and got PIRASEA tucked back in her home slip.
It was hot, we were tired but HAD to jump in the pool to cool off. Its good to be home! Great trip with my amazing First Mate.
