Sunday morning we drove to Bidyadanga Aboriginal Community about 50kms as we had to go out to the highway then back into the community. We were told they take offense if you go across country and enter the back way being about 20kms, when we got there they said that wouldn't have been a problem. Wednesday morning we were up early after a good night in the bush on our own. We went for a long walk around what was a township and climbed the hill. You would have no idea that there had been a town here at all other than an occasional bit of pipe sticking out, they have deliberately returned it to nature. Went to the Marble Bar information centre first up this morning to get our bearings. Then out to Marble Bar pool and had a good walk around. The colors in the rock are amazing, you throw water on them and the reds and blacks come up so bright amazing how they have been put together. Sunday morning we went to the 9am service at the C3 Church (Christian City) in South Hedland and enjoyed it so much that we returned for the 10.30 service and were given a free lunch from their cafe, it's normally $5 and $2 for sweets, it was really nice and with a cappucino, nice. Friday we drove to Port Hedland and went straight to the information centre and had a beautiful shower $2.50 each and got local papers etc. Checked out the town, drove onto the sand to take a photo and got bogged.
