Headed for the Fitzroy River out from Camballin this morning. Drove through Camballin and stopped at a causeway for lunch, the signage had us very cautious for crocs. Drove further on the gravel road and in a track to the river. Had a go at fishing with a lure, fairly soon caught what we thought was a Poddy Mullet and a couple of small fish but nothing worthwhile. Friday we just looked around and did a bit of fishing with no luck, although we did get 3 little whiting with the throw net to use for bait. Tuesday morning we left Gnylmerung and drove up a track along the coast to Tappers Inlet. The track isn't on any maps. Came to the inlet where there was quite a good looking boat on a trailer parked in the bush with the key in it, full of fishing gear, lures, sandshoes etc. all ready to go. We've spent the last couple of days checking things out around Broome. The historical museum was very good a great display of the way it was. I found it interesting that they claimed Broome has the most cyclones of any area in the world.
