We have only been in Luang Prabang, Laos, for 24 hours but what a difference a day makes! The Lao people are much more chilled out allowing you to wander the streets and markets without continued harassment. Even the tuk-tuk drivers ask just once if you want to go ride. There isn't a huge amount to do which is nice, we have visited a few of the towns temples and walked through the oldest part of the town. Luang Prabang was made a World Heritage Site because it is a well preserved and outstanding example of the fusion of traditional architecture and Lao urban structures with those built by the European colonial authorities in the 19th and 20th centuries. We have booked our flights to Hanoi for Thursday 10th July so we'll keep exploring!
