Today was a mighty long day but we finally arrived in Chicago ...after one cancelled flight, two missed standbys and a slightly disgruntled partridge in a pair tree. We did miss our hook up and intro with the tour guide...alas...so now we are madly trying to get in contact with him to work out what is happening tomorrow and share our luggage growth with him !!! Route 66 here we come.
Let's just amend part of this blog by stating that our tour doesn't really start until tomorrow arvo..and that some goose ( or geese) misread the itinerary...as we have two nights in Chicago - one before the tour and the other as part of the tour.....so sleeping in will definitely be on the agenda and then exploring Chicago will be our main priority.
