Well it was another early start as we had to meet our shuttle bus to the airport at 6.40am ( even though it was 20 minutes late )... A tad confused in relation to where to check in and once again security was mighty tight. Had a pretzel breakfast ( liking these lots) and then waited for our flight to Philadelphia ... This was a small plane ... Hannah was up front ( in first class) while I was at the back in seat 9!!! It was only about a 35 min flight and we were bussed to our connecting flight.... And it was here that things went pear shaped... Our flight had been cancelled... So we were put on standby! To fill in time we wandered around and did a lot of unnecessary shopping. Standby is really like a lotto... We missed out on the first flight so we went and had some lunch ( with the hottest chillis in the universe... We thought we were taking a safe option with innocent looking nachos !). We then had to walk to the other side of the airport ( which we are experts on now) to not get called up for our second standby. I am typing this at 5.13 waiting for the chance on this third flight... It has been a rather long day! We have heard the weather back home has been a tad ordinary... Well the temperature here has been low 30s.. It is a real chore to decide between shorts and jeans and to locate the sunscreen!
