Woken early with the punishing heat. April is a tough month to travel for a peely wally Scotsman. I imagine May will bring the same forecast. Head back to Chilli's for breakfast. A breeze wafts over me and I look across the water. Negros island can be seen in the distance and the gentle hum of boats and music relaxes me. I listen to a great reggae version of Wish You Were Here.
Craig goes into town and I awaken to a McDonalds pork ribs burger. Complete filth but I don't say no. The beach is great for 2 things, snorkeling and drinking so we we go for a snorkel. The tide is out so we walk further along the shore before entering the comfortable drift back. I have never been to a place with so many turtles and am not disappointed when I spot 10. We watch one moving in to eat the seagrass and see 2 courting. The nice thing about staying next to the reef for awhile is you get to see how it operates at various times of the day. The heat rash I have is ferocious in its quest to make me itch. Antihistamines helping a little. There seems to be more people turning up, getting ready for the weekend. Another night at Chilli's. Its attraction is wearing off and I am in need of a detox.
