3/5/15 As much as I have enjoyed myself its time to hit the road. We check out of pacedas, both a little sad but also happy to be on the road again. Chilli's motto of "The liver is evil and must be punished" resonating in my fuzzy head. We go to a bar to watch the boxing. I have hopes that Manni beats the arrogant American but he loses on points. Get up and go for chicken and bacon baguette. The thunder from the last few days breaks to rain. It has become humid. We are in a cycle of eat, snorkel, drink and sleep. After the weekly disco it will be time to go. Not that I am complaining as it has been a holiday within my travels. I will never get tired of snorkelling watching marine life(LT). Woken early with the punishing heat. April is a tough month to travel for a peely wally Scotsman. I imagine May will bring the same forecast. Head back to Chilli's for breakfast. A breeze wafts over me and I look across the water. Negros island can be seen in the distance and the gentle hum of boats and music relaxes me. Peter Gabriel warbles Sledgehammer in my head. The rum from last night still there. I wake Craig up as no point in suffering alone. We go snorkeling to clear our heads. I must point out that there are various hangover cures that are tried and tested - irn bru and a bacon roll, 2 raw eggs in a glass, a bloody Mary or slapping a bear and running real fast. Today is just a nice lazy day. Go back to Chilli's to type up my notes, shaded from the sun. A little hungover, a cooling bottle of water for solace. We go snorkelling but head left away from the boats. The corals further along are in great shape and there are many pipefish and tropical fish. A positive amount of green and hawksbill turtles are here. The Philippines has a fierce heat, even more so than Cambodia at this time of year. Sweating we watch the sun...
