Craig wakes me at 9am. We hire a moped to go looking for his go pro. The blue lagoon is a lovely swimming area with zip lines in the trees as an alternate activity. We dive down the 5 metres, clearer at the bottom looking but unfortunately fruitless. I had copied some of the videos to google drive but the memory card was priceless. I go for a nap as there are large rainstorms throughout the afternoon. We make plans to leave tomorrow. We find a restaurant on the riverside. I get a sizzling chicken steak and whether Lao or not it is a tasty dinner. The view is spectacular. A fine mist is descending over the mountains. The ones in the distance no longer visible. The humidity is rising and it feels we are in for another downpour. In the distance the thicker cloud floats over the hills like a mobile snow sheet. The English lads appear and we laugh. Its a small place and we constantly bump into them. The mountains disappear from view, the trees across the river just visible. A cool wind announces the rain is here. The waiters carry umbrellas as the central walkway is open to the elements. We go to the Irish bar for a change and drink Namkhong lager whilst playing on one of the better pool tables.
Sakura is just across the road and the free whiskey lures us both in. Tired tonight and not in the mood for Sakura. We head to our favourite hangout Jaidee's. We greet the usual faces, Mark the Swede, the pool wizard and the ever cheery Zak. Of course Eddie, Chris and the English lads are here. They too have found the best kept secret in town.
