So guys we have just finished out first ever farmstay and it was brillant. We were so nervous as we didnt know what to expect, neither of us had done anything like this before. Anyway we stayed with Colin and Judy Gray who were really sweet and Judy cooked the best dinners!! We felt comfortable almost immediately which is good. Their property is absolutely gorgeous, fillled with flowers, veg, fruit and trees. It smells pretty good too as the main flower that they grow and sell is lavender. Thier house is sooooo cosy too! Our jobs for the week were weeding, picking, packing flowers and planting new flowers. We also had to attack a particular weed - wandering willy - that is apprantently spreading like wild fire. After getting to know Colin and Judy we found out that they were huge rugby fans so Pete was in his element. They also have travelled everywhere so we had fun exchanging stories etc. We want too say a huge thank you too Colin and Judy as we had a wonderful week with them, one that we wont forget in a hurry! x
