WAHOO! We are FINALLY ready to make tracks, and once again we are following the social route out.
The plan for today (of which there isn't really one as it changes hour by hour) was to tidy up a few loose ends, have a cuppa with Mum, enjoy our last coffee ever ( yes Kerry, you did say LAST EVER - and it is in writing now!) at the 'bead cafe', as it's affectionately known, opposite the Wang train station.
Fresh homemade sourdough bagels, bread and focaccias with very scrumptious insides - the beetroot, pea and mint one is our favorite.
We dropped in our Vietnam Visa forms, ducked around to Verity and Steve's for some baby Cody cuddles (enough to see me through until christmas), then out to our friends Jose and Bern at Tarrawingee, for the final inspection and travel blessing.
Josie girl, bookkeeper extraordinare, made us this awesome laundry bag for Clive the Crusieliner 5. For those of you who haven't met Clive, the space inside is somewhat cosy, it's a bit of a dance routine actually - but it suits our low key needs. Jose knows us all too well when it comes to cleaning and keeping things tidy - so this bag will come in very, very handy! Thanks Jose!!
We then wandered onward to Kerry's niece, Breanna and her partner Evan, for dinner and a sleep over in East Albury. Here the heavens gave us the opportunity to test the leak-ability of the Avan, as it rained cats and dogs!!
At least now we know that there may not be much room inside, but it certainly is dry! Phew!
The next challenging part was packing down the van in the morning during pelting rain - a feat we did manage without soggy bedding, which is just as well because I wasn't quite willing to feel into THAT emotion just yet!
Thanks Breanna for the hot shower. It's onward now toward Dubbo.
