Today we had a travel day. We walked through Hyde park and then made our way to the place where we had to pick up our bus o the airport. That was located in an area that was not heavily populated with tourists and it was really cool to see just local London life, however we got lost with all the crossing and touring of the streets and were walking for at least an hour with our 10kg backpacks. We then went to the wrong terminal when we got to the airport ( this is our second time doing this!) we had a one hour flight, that was quite turbulent and then were in Scotland, and it is beautiful here! The pace is much slower then London. We are staying at a hostel in old Edinburgh and it is awesome, just beautiful old buildings everywhere.
We had a bit to eat at a place near by and the food was fantastic, and since drinks were so cheap ( 1.25 quid, as the locals say) we had a few pints. We then went to a karaoke bar and belted out a great rendition of journey before heading home for the night
Fun fact: the reason the buildings in old Edinburgh are often blackened ( as you will see in my pictures once I get a chance to post them) is because the stone that was often used has oil in it and over time the oil has caused soot, and pollution to stick to the buildings.
