It was a real struggle getting up this morning. We probably wernt the best roommates moving about at 4 am but our lift was there by 430 and we headed to the airport. All if us slept the whole flight and the shuttle ride getting us to our hostel, the generator. We couldn't check in until 2 so we dropped off our belongings and went to get breakfast/ lunch at this really great falafel place. After that we returned back to the hostel and marissa did laundry while karlee and I rested.
Once we were able to get checked in we walked to the British natural museum and it was beautiful we looked at Greek and egyptian artwork and saw the Rosetta stone. For those of you who don't know what that is I'll explain. The Rosetta stone was the link between understanding hieroglyphics and the modern language ( from what I understand..) before the Rosetta stone people believed that the pictures represented words, however this was not the case. The Rosetta stone had writing hieroglyphics followed by 2 more common languages with the same thing, so the mystery of hieroglyphics was solved.
After that we went to an indian restaurant for dinner. Then we went to the club at the generator and jut played cards and had a few drinks with some Dutch boys deciding that we would spend our last few pound as the club and walk to the airobus as opposed to taking the metro as it would only be about a 2hr walk. We went to bed early that night.
Fun fact: in the big cities in the uk they write at the crossings which way to look.. Because it's so so confusing for tourist!
