Today we got up at around 7, got ready and had breakfast. We were he last ones home in our room last night, but he first ones up! We got passes for a hop on hop off bus and toured London all morning. Our tour guide has suggested we go to Greenwich as a over boat cruise was also included in our bus. So we hopped on a boat went under the London bridge and then cruised down the river Thames. Once arriving in Greenwich we realized we knew nothing about it and didn't even have a map so we headed to information and they pointe us to the meridian line. We didn't get to stand on it but we were about 2ft from it so hat was neat! We also saw some of the initial building for the olympics, as London is holding them this summer. After that we walked around trafalger square and picadilly circus. We went to the front of the Westminster Abby and saw where Kait walked in for her wedding. After that we went to buckingham palace, and while we went able to get the cliche picture with the guards because the palace was closed for the day we saw something much cooler. We were lucky enough to be in London one of the days the queen was having one of her famous garden parties. This is where she invites people who have done exceptional amounts of of charity work. It was the coolest thing ever.. Big white tents and every woman had a different hat, some of the men even wore top hats. After we hot some dinner at a great Thai place an then headed home for the night as it had been one exhausting day!
Ps I have not had a chance to use a computer yet to upload my pictures but hopefully I will have some soon to how you guys, for now though i will just have to deal with my touch
Fun fact: the saying one for the road originated in London. Supposedly criminals on their way to be hung would Be aloud to stop at a pub and pick up one last pint before being killed in town square!
