We took the train for our one day/ night in Brussels. Upon meeting kaylena's uncle mike I knew we were going to have a great day, and to top it off it was their national holiday in Belgium that day. We went back to mikes flat on down town Brussels and he fixed us some lunch before showing us the town. Him and his friend Radeir took us around, but not to the typical tourist attractions, instead to different bars and terraces in Brussels and getting a different type of Belgian beer at each place. Now that's my kind of culture! It was pretty rainy, and this is typical for Belgium so there were umbrellas or indoor seating everywhere we went. For heir national holiday there is an air show with their military airforce flying over the city in jets, choppers, planes flying over the city, it was pretty cool! We then went back to mikes house had some dinner and got ready for our night out on the town. We started at this nautical themed bar where there was a different bar for each type of alcohol. There some of mike and rhadeirs friends met us. We had a great time there and by around midnight mike thought we were ready to party with the gay community of Brussels so we headed to his favorite club and met more people and drank the night away. It was a total blast! (don't worry moms mike took good care of us!)
