That morning we go up had our typical cornflakes and toast breakfast and started on our journey across town. We walked for about 45 minutes and it was really nice just to see the city and have some time alone in your head. I was rocking the country beats because apparently in the uk they don't listen to country and I was missing it! However at around the 45 minute mark it began to pour so we went inside to mcdonalds and read our books for 20 minutes. Once the rain had lightened we started back on our walk but when we were in the middle of Hyde park the rain started to down pour again, and at that point we were committed so we trudged through the pouring rain and walked our last hour soaking wet with our 10kg packs.
Upon arriving at our bus stop we were an hour early so we went to the nearest hotel bathroom to dry off. As we were eating our toast and jam sandwiches in the hotel bathroom this little old Italian woman walked in and started talking Italian, then did this little smile and pulled out a sandwich of her own and we all laughed about it.
We then caught our bus and took our flight to Lisbon and then arrived at our hostel "living Lisbon" it was definitely the coolest/ nicest hostel we have been to. It was run by a group of local artists and each room was designed differently and it was a very lively place. We got dinner at an italian restaurant and then headed to bed early because we had to wake up early to pick up the 4th and final member of our wolf pack.
Fun fact: it rains in England all the time and the locals don't have sympathy for you walking in the rain because they do it everyday, but they are jut smart enough to always carry umbrellas.
