Today was pretty much spent entirely on the train. We got up at 5:30 and didn't get into Florence until around 9pm.

We had to take a few different trains so we spent a lot of time sitting around, reading our books and playing cards. I was glad to have my sheet bag because it acted as a nice blanket on the train. Traveling is rather exhausting.

When we got into Florence I could tell I would love it. Italy has always been one of my favorite countries, it's really beautiful. Our hostel was one of the more sketchy accommodations we have had as it was just a roomful of 10+ bunks and it was hot! We went out for gelato and then called it a night

Fun fact: this has nothing to do with Italy but I didn't learn anything new today just sitting on the train. But the bridge that is over the liffy (the river that runs through Dublin) was designed by the men who did the titanic.. Luckily for Dublin they were more successful building bridges
