Day 21. Down the Gibb River Road and again across the flowing Pentecost River crossing up to the famous El Questro Station. Crossed the Pentecost yet again and finally arrived. Straight to the coffee shop and a quick look at the boat ramp for the Chamberlain River Gorge. Lots of grey nomads at El Questro. Time to head off to Zebedee Springs located at the bottom of a small gorge lined with rainforested d*** onia palms. Climbed up to our own private waterfall and plunge pool in the shady cleft in the rocky stream and relaxed in the 27 degree water. Back to the vehicle and tried to drive into El Questro Gorge but decided to turn back when confronted by a brown boggy water crossing half a metre deep. Further down the valley we entered the beautiful Emma Gorge for a 1.6 km scramble over large boulders to the upper pool, absolutely stunning, for a swim in clear blue water beneath the waterfall and sheer gorge walls with ferns hanging off. Finally, 60km to Parry Creek Farm for the night where we caught up with our friends. Showers and relax followed by a nice cleansing ale and a good feed of barramundi.
