Day 18. Bacon and eggs for breakfast by the campfire at Negri River, then onto the Duncan Road again south 300 km to explore. We passed through aboriginal land to stop at the old Ord River Homestead ruins. Ross worked out of here in the mid 1960s when it was a thriving Vesteys cattle station. A visit to the old cemetery showed an old headstone of Tudor Shadforth killed by blacks in 1890 aged 27.
