The End of the Pampas Tour
We were meant to be woken early to see the sunrise but it was still too cloudy after yesterday's storm so a lie in was had by all. Well until 730 for breakfast! It was a beautiful day and MUCH less humid after the storm.
After knowing how many piranhas were in the river the boys were DEFINITELY not going in again! And Hymay was very dismissive about the alligators, saying they are on holiday when asked. I was not worried as I kind of thought, what's the worst that can happen? I guessed the piranhas would only bite open wounds and the alligators didn't seem interested so in I went. Hymay went in too, closely followed by the boys (obviously they couldn't let a woman double their age show them up!) There were lots of dolphins but none came close enough to touch. Others had said they came up and nibbled toes etc. I was glad we didn't have that experience. It was freaky enough just feeling weeds etc touching me (at least I THINK it was weeds).
We got back and had lunch early before leaving at 1130 for our long journey back. There was no shade on the boat on the 2 hour journey back and we all got sun burned despite our creams! Another 3 hours in the van and we were back at our hostel. We all immediately dived into the pool to ease our sunburn! I have acquired many more mozzie bites which are mostly all over my legs but so far don't seem to be as bad as before. We all went out for the best pizza in the world then early night!
My camera is broken! It won't turn on! I'm gutted! I've checked the memory card and (thank goodness) the pictures are all still there.

Anne You really are a fearless adventurer now. Thank goodness that you've written it all down because you've got a life-time of experiences to look back on.
Mum What a fabulous sunset !!
