Venice
We checked out of the gallo hotel and went to catch our 4 hour train to venice. It was a local one so thats why it was so long but it was dirt cheap so didnt bother, we just slept most of the way. Copey did however be the gentlemen again and helpthis italian girl and her mum put the suitcases on the top rack. What a gent!
We got off at mestre station and bought a ticket for the bus, no 15 we needed, got it without any problems and even managed to find the campsite jolly without any problems, we had booked ourselves into a little bungalow for €39 a night, we had a pool view and the room was good for what we needed, even had aircon.
We left our stuff in the room then headed out to venice centre, we caught the shuttle bus and had 4 hours in venice before our return to the campsite. We walked around venice over its bridges and through the tiny streets, one thing about venice is your gaurenteed to get lost, we did several times but its small so you will find your way back at somepoint. There was a load of gondulas and boats everywhere, in bordeaux it was bikes and roller blades, here it was boats, gondolas and suprisingly no jet skis???
I took a turn for the worse with a dodgy stomach that night probably the aftermath of egypt catching me up, we missed the supermarket so bought water and crisps from a shop and got the bus back to the campsite.
