The day nothing went right... For me anyway
We woke up at 11 and went to reception to book on the shuttle bus, it was full of people checking out so copey queued up. Turned out that the bus was full that morning so we booked on the 21:30 return and got the public bus into town. It didnt take long to get to town and we decided to hit the right side of the canals.
We found the leonardo di vinci museum. I loved this place, this guy is a genius, who would of thought he designed so many things, from helicopters to, parachutes to cannons etc.. The best thing i liked about this place was it was interactive, im a big kid at heart so just messed with things. I watched a dvd about his life, i got 40 minutes in then thought , god theres another hour left so gave up.
After a bit my stomach was feeling better so i braved an ice cream, bannana and chocolate. I was wearing a white t-shirt, guess what, big chocloate stain on it, damn ice cream. I thought sod it theres nothing i can do so wandered around venice with my stained t-shirt, which already had a spot of red wine on it. We went to a supermarket called billa and bought lunch, the bread was soft and dirt cheap. We made sandwiches by one of the canals i sat on the wall opened my coke and it exploaded all over me... Great now i had , chocolate, wine and coke on me, as it happened a girl walked past and pissed herselff laughing, to be fair i would of too. At that point i definetly needed a new t-shirt, we found a €10 shop and i bought a blue t-shirt and just wore it and paid for it. I had to get XL size as in true italian style it was tiny and my 6 pack (really 8 pack of carlsberg) stood out, so XL it was.
We queued up at the train station and booked tickets to go to slovenias capital, Ljubjana it cost us €25 each, not bad. We then walked round for a bit more and found a nice restaurant to watch the gondolas go by, so we bought a beer each, they came out in a tall gold rimmed glass, they were ace. Trouble is they cost us €15 for two again, ouch france prices..
We rushed back to the supermarket to buy some supplies for the night namely beer and crisp and somethings for the next day. We just got in and out in time but then we had to carry our bags around until 9:30, we thought we could catch an early bus, but we were wrong, it was jammed up so we wandered around. We eventually went back and sat down, copey was hungry and started eating some food. Then some mad italian women sat next to copey jibbering something, turns out her husband was negotiating for one of the masks over the way, he came over and asked our names, guess what... She was callled mary, typical we could of guessed that.
We got back to the campsite and went onto the computer to book our accomodation in slovenia. We booked into the hostel park, its not far from the train station, which is a good thing as we would be getting there at 2am sunday morning. We went back to the room and drank our beer. As we were falling asleep im sure i heard some people singing, who do you think you are kidding mr hitler.........
