Up and at it early this morning because we were going to do an all day tour. Claire had a funny tummy so decided against the long bus journey and opted out for the day. We thankfully didn't have the worst overnight bus and we slept surprisingly well and didn't even hear other people getting on. Arrived in the city about 7:30am in first view it looks very similar to Hanoi where there is a mass of bikes driving all over the place. Found our hostel and then planned to check in but had to wait until 2pm so like every other city we dumped the bags and decided to go exploring. After many stops and some more dodgy dealings we finally made it to Nha Thrang. That bus driver was an absolute lunatic on the road, even I couldn't or wouldn't drive like that and he was way too fond of his horn. Made our way to the 'luxurious' Ruby hotel which cost a total of €2.50 each- basic but when your just staying one night it doesn't matter and they let us check in straight away. We left Hue at 9am and arrived in Hoi An at 1:30pm on Tuesday. We got collect bright and early from the Nam Long hotel and were brought to the Phong Nha Farmstay which was only about 45minutes drive away. We arrived and checked in and were ushered straight onto a bus for our National Park tour.
