After many stops and some more dodgy dealings we finally made it to Nha Thrang. That bus driver was an absolute lunatic on the road, even I couldn't or wouldn't drive like that and he was way too fond of his horn.
Made our way to the 'luxurious' Ruby hotel which cost a total of €2.50 each- basic but when your just staying one night it doesn't matter and they let us check in straight away.
At this stage I think we've seen every Temple/Pagoda and to be honest they've started looking, same same but different so we decided to try something else. We got a taxi to Vanpearl which is a little island off Nah Trang. We had to take what is known as the longest over the sea cable car. To say the view was spectacular would be an over statement.
We spent the day on the purpose made island on the beach, checking out the water park, visited the aquarium, played in the arcade before trying a few funfair rides before home time. It was a great day but it was lacking that Vietnamese touch and was very americanised but what more could we expect.
Got back to the hotel and then hit the street for food and drink. I'm not sure if I mentioned but I'm now a beer drinker! It's amazing how you change your tastes when your choice isn't available. We've went from Hanoi, Saigon, 333, Larue to Tiger and the list continues as we move from place to place. Ill be a beer critic by the end of this trip and ill have my very own beer belly!!
We found out today that the 90 year old king of Cambodia has died and transportation may be restricted. Fingers crossed they have him buried and worshiped by Monday because we plan to cross the border then.
We spent today Friday chilling out at the beach. Emer and Claire are a little scalded so have been like two little Draculas sitting in the shade. I on the other hand can't get enough of it and spent my day watching the people go by.
No more beach time for now because we've our bags packed and are ready to move again. Night bus booked for 7;45pm to travel from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City. That journey should take about 12 hours. Oh we love a good long bus journey ;)
