Hello everyone, I like to go by the name of Patty. I'm a transfer student to UCF (this is my second year here). I am majoring in psychology and minoring in cognitive science. I like studying how people behave and how their brains react.

A little more about me: I was born in a small town in Cuba named Cienfuegos. I lived in Madrid, Spain from the ages of 5-7 and then moved to Miami, Florida where I attended all of grade school and community college. I'm an only child, I don't really mind it, growing up I had time to do many different activities. Spanish is also my first language; I can read, write, and speak it with no problem.

Some of my current hobbies are reading, writing, cooking, art, volunteering, water/outdoor activities, video editing, and exploring new places. I've visited different parts of the world and I think traveling is one of the best forms of learning.

I've always wanted to volunteer abroad but my parents thought it was dangerous. I finally convinced them to let me go on this trip because it is through UCF and they agreed. I am extremely thankful for this opportunitiy and cannot wait to visit Costa Rica! I've heard great things from everyone who's ever been.
