Today we hosted a fundraiser on campus giving out cups of Jeremiah's ice cream in return for donations provided. We were located in UCF's Main Campus on Memory Mall, right in front of Classroom Buildings 1&2 from 9AM-2PM. The national language spoken in Costa Rica is spanish. For this volunteer program, every member had to complete a Duolingo Course for the language. This came very easy to me because spanish is my first language. Duolingo is an app that helps you learn new languages, for those who didn't know what it was. Our first actual social event took place on December 2nd and we did a Secret Santa dinner. Everyone brought a different dish and we all ate and talked as we got to know one another.
