The first long weekend I have had in here that has something to do with the Buddhism thing. Spending my time while waiting in Ayuttaya - the second Siamese capital after Sukhothai. It was destroyed by the Burmese in the 18th century.
1st August, when I leave my town and fortuitously taking the 5 hours ride going to BKK with Deasha. As it is my first time to go out of town, so excited I am that I locked my room and forgot the key inside. Only an hour left for the bus and haven't packed up yet my things. Still lucky because when I rung my land lady for a spare key, she showed up in 30 minutes time. Immediately fix myself, packed everything and then get in to the bus. Arrived late at night at BKK, no idea where to go, good thing that I'm with her and she never leave me instead offer her friends hut for me to stay the night. I never expected to meet her friend at any time soon, but it did happen. I felt so insecure with my english accent so I just only listen to them talking with each other. It may be rude not to talk that much to people but really not confident enough with my English.
The following day, got up early and then had a hamburger at MCDO then split up as they are going to some place different from mine. I will be meeting ate joddeth - the Filipina from Baguio that I've met during my first visa run at Laos. On my van, had this thai lady eating plainly ripe tomato. So weird isn't it? (but tomato is a fruit anyway) i do eat tomato but not as a fruit. She offered me some of it but I politely refuse, and then I tried to close my eyes just to ignore as it was pointless of keep on talking and you would not understand each other. She offered me some tablet thinking that I feel so sick. The odor per se really makes me sick and she wants me to take it, so out of respect I put it on my tongue and later on spit it out on the tissue. After an hour I've finally seen the ayuttaya signage and was wrongly dropped off at one of the TESCO center. So need to ride on a Sung Thew and look for another mini tesco somewhere and finally, meet ate with her friends. Another struggle, since they are all from the same province of Baguio so they have their common language - Ilokano. But it's okay "sabai sabai" will just enjoy myself then.
The next day, got up so early as we are planning to attend some Filipino gatherings somewhere in south of Thailand but unfortunately, after 5 hours of travel we arrived to somewhere closer to aranya prathit, since we couldn't catch up for the said event then everybody agrees to just go back home then just go out at night. Nice bus ride anyway…
Another day-ride but at least now I'm pretty sure that we could really reach our destination- Saraburi. On the train, since I got up first so I occupied the two sets as the other one was reserve for ate. Here comes the lover, the girl sit on the set that I reserved and the boy wanted me to get off so that he could set beside her girlfriend. Several minutes he keeps on staring at me as he tries to confront the police officer and pointing his finger on me when ate joddeth notice and told me to just be kind to them as I forgot to bring my passport. Lesson? The passport… (otherwise you will be placed in jail) Nevertheless, still manage to enjoy the rest of the day at saraburi.
With my last day, I spent it with them at Ayuttaya floating market. It's different from the market that I am expecting, the one that is famous but its okay still there is a market that floats anyway. Since, it is the oldest city so you could be able to see it's remained, characterized by the prang (reliquary towers) and gigantic monasteries that gives an idea of its past splendour. the oldest hysterical signs and etc. You could also watch some stage presentation some sort of a pirate of the Caribbean but its different I think it's what had happened before. Sorry wasn't able to know the details. Then you can do shopping, boat riding, feeding the fish using the baby roan and experience elephant riding but too expensive and only to find out you can just only walk around the palace.
The next day, had a 3 hours train ride going to victory monument and this is the moment of patient… I found myself waiting for someone in mochit for almost 6 hours. Yah! I know how impatient I am but for the first time was able to wait that long. No regrets as I enjoyed myself going up and down unto the station. What's funny in there was before I get up to the station going to chayaiphum I was dropped off in some area where I found a map. Then on the map it seems that the station that I am looking for is bit far from where I am. So I tried to asked some vendor with my thai language, shamed on me because the station that I am looking is within the area where I am standing it's just on the other side. Damn it!
Back to school again with one day dinner with Phe jum and her kids at the other vietnamese restaurant. She's maynards tutee who becomes friend of mine.
2nd weekend was spent with a friend at laos. Not really interesting because it's just only a visa runs again. Same test of how patient I am but now it's different as it is dealing someone's innocence. He really possessed an exotic attitude. I almost give up with him but I had no choice because he is so dependent on me. Nonetheless, I ended up drinking in some bar at nongkai. Quite cool but would be amazing if you're with someone whose party-goer not bed lover. So, beware of going to somewhere with someone's attitude like that you wouldn't really enjoy your trip. Good thing that I often receive a message from someone special which diverted my attention and be happy instead. Two long weekends is over now!
