Today was the planned boat trip along the beagle channel, and also to the worlds last lighthouse! However, winds from the north the night before had pretty much wreaked havoc throughout the whole town! 5 boats or so had capsized overnight, and one of the 2 main tourist boats had washed up ashore!! The sight must have been crazy, but it was too windy to go outside and have a look!

The nights activities were a planned excursion into the forest through various means of winter related transport. We started off on husky sleds ! Jess in front, nomes in the back, and me and Suraj somewhere inbetween. And we were off crossing Tierra Major Valley. It seems every day we're waking up later and later, the concept of us being on holiday is actually sinking in. During the day we decided to venture out again and head to the port. 3 days of skiing and we don't sustain any injuries, yet a walk to town sends us slipping and sliding everywhere. Making it back in one piece, we prepare for the nights activities!

Today was the planned day of nothingness. After 3 days of skiing our bodies were sore and in need of some well deserved rest. And so our last day of skiing commenced this morning with blue skies! There were some good photo moments, though by the afternoon the clouds and snowfall returned, (visibility score #5 on the nomes scale), and it was back to braving the antarctic winds.
