Awoke early (6.30) and prepare to leave Tanah Rata. We had booked a coach to Kuala Lumpur for 8.30am which was comfortable and modern. I am continuously amazed at how these drivers negotiate these narrow windy roads with hitting anything!

The drive down was beautiful. The country very green but a windy road which took its toll on the passenger sitting in front of us who seemed to have a weaker stomach than me which I didn't think existed. Luckily the driver gave him a bag!

Arrived in Malaysia's capital at about 1.30 and caught a taxi to our hotel 'The Palace of the Golden Horses'. It's absolutely huge. We have 2 rooms. Sue and Chris in one and us in the other. It feels like a penthouse with a view of the pool from one and the lake from the other. You could have a party with 50 guests and fit them in comfortably. (I'll get some photo's tomorrow)

Had a ride in a boat up to the sister hotel and walked to the shopping mall where we stocked up on essentials. (Like beer) oh and breakfast. Ate at a restaurant in the hotel. There are 4 I think but only one seemed to be open this evening. More exploring required tomorrow.
