Today we had booked to go on the 'Stardust' trip which is a 60 foot yacht sailing around the north eastern Langkawi waterways. We left our hotel and were taken to the start of the mangrove waterway boat trips. There were a million boats all trying to take off together and people everywhere. Today is our 20th wedding anniversary so we started the day with chocolate naturally! Thought we'd visit Langkawi Underwater World today located about 20 mins from Kuah Town. It was fantastic. The tanks were beautiful and very clean. Lots of interesting fish and even an Antarctic section featuring Rock Hopper Penguins. Outdoor areas too with Flamingo's and Marmoset Monkeys. We went to the Mardi Fruit farm this morning. Caught a taxi there and took a tour in an open sided truck similar to the one that we had on Tiomen. This one actually had a chain on each side so that we didn't fall out. Progress! We got to sample different fruits along the way and all enjoyed it. The rest of the day was spent pottering around. Decided to go on the Cable Car trip today. Walked down into Kuah town and it was really hot (again). Caught a taxi to the base station which took about 40 mins although it would have been even slower had the driver driven at the speed limit instead of 20 kmh above it!
